Ingredients:
For Kofta:
- Grated bottle gourd – 2 cups
- Gram flour – ½ cup
- Green chilli (finely chopped) – 2
- Ginger paste- 1 tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
For gravy:
- Tomato- 2 (finely chopped)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Cumin- 1 tsp
- Turmeric- ½ tsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – ½ tsp
- Oil- as per requirement
- Green Coriander – for garnish
How to make Kofta
1. To make bottle gourd koftas, first press the grated bottle gourd lightly and remove extra water.
2. Now add gram flour, green chilli, ginger paste, salt and spices and mix well. Make small balls from the prepared mixture and fry in hot oil until golden.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds in it. After this add onion and fry till it turns golden. Now add tomatoes and cook until the masala leaves oil.
4. Then add turmeric, coriander powder and salt and mix well. Add some water as required and let the gravy boil.
5. When the gravy is ready, add fried koftas to it and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with garam masala and green coriander.
6. Serve hot bottle gourd koftas with roti, naan or rice. This dish is perfect for both lunch or dinner.
