UP: सुल्तानपुर में युवक की हत्या, ग्राम प्रधान समेत कई पर केस दर्ज – Sultanpur Youth Murdered Registered Against Several Individuals Including Village Head lcly
A 28 year old youth was beaten to death by a group of people in Bhataura village of Shivgarh area of Sultanpur. The victim’s family has alleged the involvement of the village head and other people in this incident. A police officer gave this information to a news agency.
Police said that the victim Jaswant Singh was attacked with sticks and an ax on Tuesday evening when he was returning home on a motorcycle after buying vegetables. According to his brother Balwant Singh, the attackers stopped him near Bhataura Inter College and attacked him with the intention of killing him. Due to which he was seriously injured.
He was first taken to a community health center in Lambhua and later Sultanpur Was referred to Government Medical College. When his condition started deteriorating, he was shifted to a trauma center in Lucknow, where he died on the way around midnight.
Murder committed due to dispute over ongoing corruption investigation
The family alleged that the attack resulted from a dispute related to the ongoing investigation into alleged corruption involving the village head. He has named village head Maan Singh along with many others including Ramsharan, Ramjas, Ramsuresh, Neeraj, Suraj and Dhananjay.
Circle Officer Vinay Gautam said that a case has been registered and two police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. One accused has been taken into custody and efforts are on to nab the remaining people.
