Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday made a high-level visit to the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, as both nations look to strengthen the security architecture across the Indo-Pacific.During the visit, General Dwivedi engaged in wide-ranging discussions with General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of USARPAC, along with other senior military leadership.“General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, was accorded a guard of honor at Fort Shafter, Hawaii during his ongoing visit to the US Army Pacific. He held discussions with General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General @USARPAC and other senior leaders, focusing on strengthening India-US defense cooperation and shared stability progress on the PAD for peace and stability in the GPI,” a post by X.Outside the boardroom, the army chief took a sky tour of the island of Oahu. The study gave the chief of staff a first-hand look at the US military’s training ecosystem, observing state-of-the-art infrastructure and multi-domain readiness used for jungle and littoral warfare training, gaining insight into how land, air, sea, cyber and space capabilities are integrated to maintain US operational dominance.The Army chief’s visit comes shortly after US Air Force Chief of Staff General Ken Wilsbach invited Air Chief Marshal Singh to the Pentagon on April 10. The two air chiefs met to discuss plans for mutual assistance and a fruitful future for both countries.
