He finally talked about the criticism regarding his ‘fake moustache’ in the film. He admitted that even though not everyone liked his look, it was not carelessness but an important creative decision. Akshay broke his silence and also apologized.
Why did you have to wear a fake moustache?
After the film Samrat Prithviraj released in 2022, the audience Akshay Kumar Questions were raised on his looks, especially the authenticity of his moustache. He played the character of the great king Prithviraj Chauhan, and people expected his look to be more realistic.
Akshay told that he usually grows beard and mustache for his character, which takes several weeks. But the special kind of mustache required in this film could not grow naturally on his face. Therefore, the team used a fake mustache (prosthetic) to give a historically accurate look.
He accepted the criticism and said that he respects the opinion of the audience and also apologized to those who did not like his look. Akshay said- If someone did not like it, then I am sorry. He also said that such decisions are sometimes necessary in filmmaking.
The film could not earn money
The film Samrat Prithviraj was made under the banner of Yash Raj Films and was directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood were also in important roles in the film. Despite a huge budget of around Rs 175 crore, the film managed to earn only around Rs 90 crore worldwide.
Currently, fans are liking Akshay Kumar in the film Bhoot Bangla, which is directed by Priyadarshan. Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Vamika Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav will also be seen in this film. Akshay will soon be seen in Welcome to the Jungle. His Haiwaan with Priyadarshan is also in the pipeline.
