A shocking incident has come to light in Anjananagar of Byavarahalli police station area of Bengaluru in Karnataka, where on April 21 at around 2 pm, a young man was allegedly burnt alive by his girlfriend. The victim has been identified as Kiran. He had gone to the woman’s house at a time when no one else was present there.
According to police sources, the accused woman allegedly told Kiran that she would propose him in English style. After this he allegedly tied her hands and legs with a rope.
Had physical relations before murder?
Police suspect that the woman had physical relations with the victim before committing the murder. After this he allegedly poured kerosene on it and set it on fire. Kiran died on the spot due to severe burns. Both the victim and the accused worked in the same company and their friendship turned into a love affair. Investigators believe that the woman had kept kerosene ready before Kiran’s arrival. He had also allegedly recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone.
The accused woman has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. Senior officers including ACP Ashok and Inspector Bhaskar visited the spot. Byadarahalli police have registered the case and further investigation is underway.
‘Today I will propose in English style’
North West Police Deputy Commissioner DL Nagesh said that Ramachandraiah’s 27-year-old daughter Prema lived on Anjana Nagar, Pipeline Road. The 27-year-old deceased, along with Kiran Prema, worked in a Vi store near Basyam Circle in Rajajinagar. Kiran due to get a new Vi connection work near Nelamangala. Had come to take Prema along. When he reached near Prema’s house in Gadde Khan area of Byadarahalli, Prema called him inside and said – Today I will propose in English style.
‘I was ignoring you, blocked the number’
It came to light that Kiran was in contact with his ex-girlfriend and had started ignoring Prema. He had also partied with his ex-girlfriend and also taken pictures, due to which there was a fight between the two. After this Kiran had blocked Prema’s number. Later Prema called Kiran from another number and agreed to marry her on the date given by her. Within just two days, he allegedly planned and executed the murder. At present the police is investigating whether he has done all this alone or someone else is also involved with him.
Prema had proposed on Valentine’s Day
Prema had proposed Kiran for marriage on 14 February, which Kiran also accepted. Prema had planned to gift a bike and a mobile phone worth Rs 4 lakh to Kiran. Despite this, Kiran had recently started distancing herself from her, which made Prema very sad. Then he decided to kill Kiran and then commit suicide. As per the plan, he had already purchased petrol and kerosene. He had also ordered handcuffs online to tie Kiran.
Was going to gift a bike worth Rs 4 lakh, but…
Both of them had first gone to see the bike. There was a fight between the two again regarding marriage. Meanwhile, Prema allegedly poured kerosene on Kiran and set her on fire. Kiran burnt to death inside the woman’s house.
More shocking revelations came to light during police interrogation. It was revealed that after killing Kiran, Prema had also planned to kill herself. A bottle of poison and some pills were found in Prema’s room. But the fire burned so fast that Prema, who was partially naked, got scared and started running away. During this time a woman from the neighborhood helped him.
