It also asks why you should not recommend to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha for cancellation of your membership,” it said in a statement.“It is said that in a video circulating on social media, you made an offensive statement about women working in the political field. In the video, you are heard saying that women who enter politics do so by sharing a bed with some politicians, which hurts women’s self-respect and social status,” the statement said.This comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the opposition for not supporting the 131st Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which sought to advance reservations for women after restrictions. He called Congress, DMK, TMC and SP anti-women.
