Bollywood actor Avinash Tiwari and actress Medha Shankar’s film ‘Ginny Weds Sunny 2’ will be released soon. It is not just a love story, but also shows relationships, family and today’s problems in a light-hearted manner. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Medha Shankar said that she got connected to the story as soon as she heard the script. He found the character of Ginny very relatable, whose life, love and family are like real ones. Avinash Tiwari said that initially he was confused, but the freshness and humor of the story captivated him. Both of them say that the film has strong emotions along with comedy, which will touch the audience with laughter. The truth of relationships, the pressure of marriage and the complications of love make the film special. What was it about the script that made you choose it? Answer (Medha Shankar): This script was narrated by writer and director Prashant Verma. I have rarely laughed as hard as I did while listening to this. That’s when I felt that this film is special. I found the character of Ginny similar to me. Her love story and family are very relatable. The family in the film seems a little crazy but real. Every character is real and the love story is heart touching. There is fun and comedy in the film. I was ready after listening to the script. Question: Avinash, what did you find special in the film? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): When Prashant narrated the story, I was laughing every 3-4 minutes. To tell you the truth, initially I wanted to refuse the film because I wanted to do something different. But as the story progressed, it seemed like this was what I was looking for. It is a wedding film, but made in a different and fresh way. Question: What did you find most relatable in the story? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): This is the story of two people who are not getting married. Why it is not happening, that is interesting. Relationship complications and family taunts feel real. I felt like people in my family talk like this. Today’s problems in relationships are clearly visible in this. That’s why I felt that people would be able to connect with this story. Question: Did this film affect you emotionally? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): Yes, this story made me laugh and cry. Felt all the emotions listening for the first time. Later when I read the script and came to know that Medha was being cast for Ginni, it became more special. Also producer Vinod Bachchan was associated, whom I respect. For these reasons I decided to do the film. Question: Have you told any funny lie in your relationship, which created a big situation? Answer (Medha Shankar): No, I did not lie. But there have been complications and mild confusion in relationships. Avinash Tiwari: I did not have the courage to lie in a relationship. But like the movie, different and risky love is beautiful. Question: You like your action avatar, will we see something like this? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): I have done action in this film also. People have also been picked up and thrown. Now the audience will see who defeated whom! Question: What are the three benefits of marrying and not marrying? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): The benefits of marriage are that one gets purpose in life, comes discipline and gets a chance to share life. The benefits of not doing so are that you don’t have to answer, you can live as per your wish and there is no one to interfere. Medha Shankar: For me, marriage and relationship are almost the same. If you are with the right person, there is not much difference in life. The most beautiful thing is that someone becomes a witness to your life, joys and sorrows are shared. Question: What things should not happen in a relationship? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): One should not be defensive. When a mistake is made, it should be accepted and corrected. There should also be a value system and a sense of humor. Question: What qualities should an ideal partner have? Answer (Medha Shankar): For me these are the basic things – love, honesty and loyalty. There should be someone who understands life, stands with you and becomes a part of happiness and sorrow. Question: What are your expectations from the relationship? Answer (Avinash Tiwari): I am not clear what to expect. It seems that there will be true love, only then I will understand the other person and will be able to improve myself. Question: Both of you tell two good things and one shortcoming about each other? Answer (Medha Shankar): Avinash is intelligent and speaks well. He also does poetry well. He is a sensitive person. The drawback is that sometimes they become defensive. Avinash Tiwari: Medha maintains her softness even in difficult times. She stands strong on her ideas and creates an atmosphere of happiness wherever she goes. As far as shortcomings are concerned, I did not see any shortcomings in them.
