Dibrugarh: Firing near the ancestral home of militant group ULFA (I) chief Paresh Barua. AssamHis family claimed in Dibrugarh district on Monday.His brother Bimal Barua claimed that two rounds of blank shots were heard near the house in Jerai village after midnight, but nothing was caught on CCTV.Alleging that someone wants to create law and order problem by doing such activities, Barua said, Chhabura police station has been informed about the incident.Police said they have started an investigation into the incident.The incident took place within days of the return of Paresh Barua’s former close aide Arunoday Dohotia, also known as ‘Arunoday Asam’.Dohotia surrendered a few months ago and returned to his residence in the same area two days ago from a militant camp in Myanmar.ULFA (I), led by Paresh Barua, is the only party in the state which is yet to come to the negotiating table for talks
