Gift from ICCR strengthens cultural diplomacy
The statue was gifted to the city of Seattle by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), marking an important milestone in the expansion of India’s cultural diplomacy. Officials said the gesture recognizes Seattle’s multicultural character and aligns with ICCR’s larger efforts to promote people-to-people connectivity between India and the US.The unveiling coincides with ICCR Day celebrations, emphasizing the organization’s mission to use arts and culture as a bridge across the continent.
Vivekananda’s global legacy lives on

The artist behind the statue
The bronze monument was created by renowned Indian sculptor Naresh Kumar Kumawat, whose artistic portfolio includes more than 600 installations in more than 80 countries.
