New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the death of the legendary singer on Sunday Asha Bhoslewho died at the age of 92 in Mumbai.In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Deeply saddened by the death of Asha Bhosle ji, one of India’s most iconic and versatile voices. His extraordinary musical journey, over decades, has enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts around the world. Be it her soulful melodies or soulful compositions, her voice carries eternal brilliance. I will always cherish the interactions I had with him.”“My condolences to his family, fans and music lovers. He will continue to inspire generations and his music will forever resonate in people’s lives,” he added.hope Bhosle’s son Anand Bhosle shared the news of his death and said, “He passed away today. Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit his residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park tomorrow at 4 pm.”One of India’s most famous singing icon Asha Bhosle has died of multiple organ failure, according to the doctors who treated her.“He died a few minutes ago due to multi organ failure,” Dr Preet Samdani told PTI.The singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening due to a chest infection and exhaustion, her granddaughter Janai Bhosle said in a post.The veteran singer will be cremated with full state honors at Shivaji Park on Monday.Bhosle, whose career spanned several decades, began his musical journey in 1943 and became one of India’s most celebrated playback singers and is among the living legends of the Indian film music industry.
