New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Monday arrested the suspect and impounded the vehicle that broke the barricade and entered the Delhi Assembly premises. According to the police, the car was being driven recklessly when it rammed into the security barricades erected outside the assembly complex and broke the main gate. The sudden intrusion created panic at the scene, with security personnel rushing to respond immediately.“The driver proceeded towards Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta’s office and placed a bouquet of flowers near the balcony before retreating,” said a Delhi Secretariat official.Officers present at the scene tried to stop the vehicle but the driver managed to escape shortly after entering the premises. Police teams have since launched a search operation to trace the vehicle and identify the driver.Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle breached multiple layers of security before entering the complex, raising concerns about the breach. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage from the area to piece together the sequence of events.
