Self-enumeration by President Murmu, VP & PM Modi kicks off Census 2027 | India News
A post at Rashtrapati Bhavan X said, “The President has self-enumerated his family details on the portal (s.census.gov.in) in the presence of Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner of India Mritunjay Kumar Narayan and other senior officials.” As per rules, the President of India is the first citizen to be counted in the nationwide census.Delhi, where self-counting has begun in NDMC and Delhi Cantonment areas, is among 11 states and union territories where the 45-day window for houselisting operations began from Wednesday.Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi Online self-assessment form is also filled.“Completed my self-enumeration. Today marks the start of the first phase of census 2027, house listing and housing operations. This census is the first time data is being collected through digital medium,” Modi said at X.Union Home Minister Amit Shah also completed his self-count through the portal.
