The Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said that based on specific intelligence, the Army launched a joint search operation and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Arhama area. “During the search, vigilant troops observed suspicious activity. When challenged, the terrorists opened fire, and our troops retaliated,” the army said, adding that the operation was continuing.
