'Island power': three services conduct amphibious assaults, maritime dominance

New Delhi: In a rare display of seamless coordination, the three services of the armed forces jointly conducted a high-intensity tri-service exercise Island Power from March 24 to March 28 to test their integrated capabilities for rapid response to coastal and island defense operations.During the joint exercise, the triservices conducted integrated amphibious assault, maritime dominance operations and complex beach landing exercises.“In seamless coordination, the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force conducted integrated amphibious assault, maritime dominance operations and complex beach landing exercises that employed next-generation equipment and drones, reaffirming precision, jointness and mission-ready interoperability at X.” It also shared some pictures of the military exercise.The exercise also refined integrated strategies, tactics and procedures, reinforced the Armed Forces’ growing multi-domain capabilities and steadfast commitment to securing India’s maritime borders and island territories.
