Delhi High Court orders Tamil media outlets to remove defamatory content against Isha Foundation and Sadhguru

D Delhi High Court An interim order was issued on Thursday directing Tamil media outlet Nakkhiran Media to remove defamatory videos and articles published against Isha Foundation and Sadhguru.Welcoming the order, the Isha Foundation said it would continue legal system Against those who spread false and malicious content.The case arose out of a series of videos released by Nakkiran that contained defamatory, obscene and obscene content, attempting to tarnish the reputation of the Isha Foundation and Sadhguru. In response, the foundation filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court in 2024, seeking removal of such content and an injunction against future publication of similar content.Isha filed an interim petition published during the transfer petition before the Supreme Court along with the immediate removal of the content mentioned in the case and sought an injunction against further publication of such content. The petition was heard in December 2025, at which time the Delhi High Court reserved the order after hearing arguments from both sides.The order was issued by the court today directing the removal of objectionable videos and articles published by Nakkhiran related to Isha Foundation and Sadhguru.In its statement, Isha Foundation said, “We wholeheartedly welcome this interim order of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. It is unfortunate that certain media outlets and individuals continue to circulate false and defamatory allegations without any evidence as part of a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.”“For more than three decades, Isha Foundation has been deeply committed to large-scale social development and human welfare, work that has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. This is what these coordinated attacks seek to disrupt. Isha will continue to take appropriate legal action against those responsible. No amount of defamation or outright misinformation will hinder our efforts towards human welfare.In March 2025, the Delhi High Court ordered YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh to take down a defamatory video containing false claims against Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation. Following a court order, the misleading video was removed by the YouTuber.
