In the complaint received by the National Human Rights Commission, the complainant has said that the recently released song of the upcoming film KD: The Devil has obscene and sexually suggestive double meaning lyrics, which is not suitable for public broadcasting and especially for children. This content is available on social media, TV and many other platforms, which can have a negative impact on the mental health and moral environment of minors.

The lyricist of the film gave clarification, said- I did not write the song
Amidst the controversy, the film’s lyricist Raqib Alam has issued a statement and clarified on the controversy. He has said that this song has not been written by him but by the film’s director Prem. He has translated this song only in Hindi.
Lyricist Raqib Alam said in the statement, “A lot has happened in just a few hours and I found myself in a situation I was not prepared for. Although director Prem has removed the song following my request, I still want to officially clarify that the original lyrics of ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ have not been written by me.
He further said, this song was written in Kannada by the film’s director Prem and my role was limited only to translating it into Hindi. As a songwriter I take pride in the words I write, and it’s important to distinguish between original writing and translation. I hope this will clear up any misunderstandings about my contribution.”
He further added, “It is important to understand that when you sign a contract for a film, you are bound to fulfill its terms. After reading the original Kannada lyrics, I had refused to be a part of this song, but I was asked to translate it into Hindi and as per the contract, I had to play my part. Prem is a good friend of mine, but I had warned him and requested him not to go ahead. However, he knew what he was doing and was What do you want from the song?
Let us tell you that Rakib Alam has previously written songs for the films Pushpa and Pushpa 2.
