This song, composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, is the centerpiece of this year’s parade, tableaus and cultural programs.

Another major attraction of this year’s parade is the tableau of ex-servicemen based on the theme ‘From Sangram to Nation Building’. The tableau will display Amar Jawan Jyoti and 3-D models of historical war equipment, including T-55 and Vijayant tanks, MiG-21, Mirage and Jaguar aircraft, INS Mysore and INS Rajput.

It also depicts the wars of 1965, 1971 and Kargil Operation Vijay of 1999. The reverse side of the tableau will depict the role of ex-servicemen in nation building, highlighting their contribution to flood relief, medical services, education and the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The consciousness of the nation will be visible in 30 tableaux
According to the Defense Ministry, line of duty 30 tableaux will be displayed, which will include tableaux of 17 States/Union Territories and 13 Ministries/Departments/Services. Under the theme ‘Mantra of Independence: Vande Mataram’ and ‘Mantra of Prosperity: Self-reliant India’, these tableaux will showcase 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ and the rich cultural diversity of the country.

10 thousand special guests also
Around 10,000 special guests include scientists, sportspersons, farmers, women entrepreneurs, startup founders, artisans, women from self-help groups, disabled people, tribal representatives and beneficiaries of various government schemes. After the parade, arrangements have been made for these guests to visit the National War Memorial, Prime Minister Museum and other major places of Delhi.

The parade will be led by Parade Commander Lieutenant General Bhavneesh Kumar, who is the General Officer Commanding of Delhi Area and is a second generation officer. The proud winners of highest gallantry awards will also participate in the parade. A small military contingent of the European Union (EU) will also take part in the parade.

Multi layer security in Delhi
Delhi Police has made multi-layer security arrangements in the national capital on Republic Day. About 10,000 policemen have been deployed and state-of-the-art technology is being used for surveillance. These include AI-based smart glasses and thousands of CCTV cameras.

Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Devesh Kumar Mahala said, strict security protocols have been implemented to ensure the safety of participants and spectators at the Republic Day event. Pickets, barricades and all standard SOPs have been implemented as part of security.

All policemen have been informed about deployment planning, point-wise briefing and steps to be taken in case of any emergency and rehearsals have also been conducted.

To strengthen the security arrangements, more than 3,000 CCTV cameras equipped with video analytics and facial recognition system (FRS) have been installed in the New Delhi area, along the parade route and surrounding areas.
