Cop, wife die as car falls into stream in J&K’s Doda | India News
JAMMU: A Jammu and Kashmir Police head constable and his wife died, and their sons were injured when their car plunged into a stream in Doda district on Friday.The family was going to Vaderwah in their SUV from Bani in Kathua district when the accident occurred around 9 am near Basti village (Vhaderwah). Head constable Zulfikar Ali (47) and his wife Rehana Begum (42), posted in Vaderwah district special branch, died on the spot, an official said.“Police and medical teams from SDH Vaderwah reached the spot, and shifted the family to Vaderwah Hospital, where the couple was declared brought dead. Their sons, Arshad Ahmed (20) and Kamran Ahmed (24), are under treatment,” the official said.Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh condoled the death in an X post.
