New Delhi: An uproar erupted in the Lok Sabha on Thursday after Rahul Gandhi interrupted his speech on the energy crisis while taking a jibe at the oil and gas minister. Hardeep Puri Allegedly his name was on an American sex-offender file. He attacked the government over the US waiver for India to buy crude oil from Russia. “It was a very confusing incident why a nation the size of India would allow any other nation... the president of another country will allow us to buy Russian oil… I figured out the puzzle. And the puzzle is about reconciliation,” he said and referred to the alleged link to Puri.This led to a disruption in the House, forcing the Speaker Om Birla to intervene, saying that the member could not raise the issue, even as Gandhi insisted that he was talking about energy and economic security. Later, the opposition members entered the well of the House and Puri had to read out his speech amid slogans.
