Air India Express to resume Muscat flights from March 3; Gulf routes remain suspended amid Middle East tensions | India News
Air India Express will resume operations to and from Muscat from Tuesday, March 3, following a temporary suspension due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, the Tata Group-owned airline said in a statement on Monday.Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia And the UAE will remain suspended till 23.59 hrs IST on March 3, it added, news agency PTI reported.
The airline will resume scheduled flights between Muscat and Indian cities including Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai and Tiruchirappalli. The first flight to operate will be the Muscat-Tiruchirappalli service, departing at 1025 hours local time on Tuesday.The statement also noted that many air routes in the Middle East are closed due to conflicts involving the US, Israel and Iran, which have affected flight operations.
