Ajmer: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday intensified his campaign season attacks CongressIts youth wing’s ‘shirtless protest’ at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi alleges divisive politics.Addressing a rally in Ajmer, Modi said the Congress “leaves no chance to insult India”, alleging that it has abandoned national interests. “Kavi Congress INC yani Indian National Congress thi… aaj oo INC ke bajay MMC ban gei hai (INC no longer exists in that form. Today, it has become MMC – Muslim League Maoist Congress),” he said.
“History is a witness that Muslim League hated India and divided the country. Maoists also hate India’s prosperity, our constitution and our successful democracy. They attack from hiding, and Congress also enters anywhere to insult the nation. The country will never forgive such actions of Congress,” he said.He said the protest at the Youth Congress summit on February 20 was staged to embarrass India in front of foreign guests. “When the world speaks well of India, every Indian feels proud. But the Congress tried to humiliate the country in front of foreign dignitaries by creating drama,” he said.Modi accused the party of taking a hit after the electoral defeat: “Congress has been losing (elections) continuously across the country and out of anger, it is retaliating by tarnishing India’s image.”Turning to national security, Modi said the Congress has a record of undermining the armed forces, alleging years of deficits and delays, including ‘one post, one pension’ and defense scandals during his tenure. He said, ‘Insulting the country and weakening the armed forces is an old habit of the party. This left our soldiers yearning for weapons and uniforms,” he said.Modi contrasted this with the last 11 years, saying surgical strikes and India’s forces have hit “on every front”. But in this case too, the Congress has chosen to spread lies to the enemy,” he said, adding, “Congress opposes everything that is good for the country and benefits the people of India.
