‘This is a big honor for us’: Creator of web series ‘Fauda’ Lior Raj calls meeting with PM Modi a special moment
Creator of the famous web series ‘Fauda’, Lior Raj met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jerusalem, Israel on Friday. He described this meeting as a great honour. Lior Raj said in an interview to ANI that meeting the Prime Minister of a big country like India was a special moment for him. He said that he knows that his series is watched by a large number of viewers in India. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi supports acting, production and art. He felt good seeing this. He said, “It is a matter of great honor for us. We get a lot of audience in India. It is a big thing to get this honor from your Prime Minister. He supports art and production in his country. We should also learn from this in our country. We would like to work with India again.” Lior Raj told that his series ‘Fauda’ had its Netflix premiere at the Goa Film Festival. He said that he wants to come to India again and should get such an opportunity again. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to India on Friday after a two-day visit to Israel. This was his first visit to Israel in nine years. During this period, India and Israel elevated their relations to Special Strategic Partnership. ‘Fauda’ is a political thriller web series. ‘Fauda’ is an Israeli political thriller web series. It depicts the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. In Arabic language ‘Fauda’ means ‘Anarchy’. The story of the series revolves around Doron, commander of Misteravim, a secret defense unit of Israel. Doron returns to duty after retirement. His objective is to capture a major terrorist of Hamas, known as ‘The Panther’. Doron initially thought he had been killed, but later discovered that he was alive. Although the characters are fictional, the story is inspired by real events. It is based on the experiences of Israel’s undercover unit ‘Duvdevan’. Series creator Lior Raz himself has been a part of this unit and also played the character of Doron. Till now its four seasons have come. There are 12 episodes in each season. The fifth season has also been announced. Its story will be based on the situation after the Hamas attacks on 7 October 2023.
