Police have attached the Kathua properties of Pakistan-based terror handlers

JAMMU: The Kathua police on Tuesday attached properties of a Pakistan-based terror handler in Lohai Malhar tehsil of the district on the orders of the Jammu Additional Sessions Court.BNS, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Exit and Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance under relevant sections of the Act, in connection with an FIR registered at Billawar PS, the land (approx. 7.5 marlas) owned by accused Swar Din in Bhatodi area was attached.Police said Swar Din had earlier moved to Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and had since been involved in activities against India’s security and sovereignty. The court declared him a “proclaimed criminal” due to his constant evasion of legal process. “Despite repeated efforts by the Kathua police to arrest him, he has not been traced, prompting the court to order attachment of his immovable properties,” said a police spokesperson.Billawa SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, under the guidance of Billawa SDPO Neeraj Padiyar, executed the attachment in close coordination with the revenue department and following all due legal procedures, verifications and documents, police said.Police said the move was part of a comprehensive and sustained strategy to dismantle the financial and logistical support structures of terrorist networks and ensure that those involved in subversive activities are deprived of resources.
