A case of crash of an air ambulance while going from Ranchi to Delhi was reported on Monday evening near Simaria in Chatra district of Jharkhand. In the new update in the case, it has been revealed that all seven people on board the plane have died. According to PTI report, a senior official of the state government has given this information.
This crash occurred on the aircraft of Redbird Airways Pvt. Ltd. Ranchi It happened shortly after the flight took off from the airport at 7.11 pm.
Chatra Deputy Commissioner Kirtishree told PTI, “All seven people on board the air ambulance died in the crash. The plane was going from Ranchi to Delhi.” He said, “The aircraft went missing around 7.30 pm. It crashed in Bariatu Panchayat area of Simaria.”

SDPO Shubham Khandelwal told PTI that the bodies of all the seven people on board the plane have been recovered. They have been identified as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Archana Devi and Dhuru Kumar.
According to the DGCA website, Delhi’s non-scheduled operator Redbird has six aircraft in its fleet, which also includes the crashed aircraft. Anant Sinha, CEO of Ranchi’s Devkamal Hospital, told PTI that the air ambulance was arranged by one of his patients.
He said, “The patient, Sanjay Kumar (41), a resident of Chandwa in Latehar district, was brought to the hospital on February 16 with 65 percent burns. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital. The family had decided to take him to Delhi for better treatment. They arranged for an air ambulance on Monday. The patient left the hospital for Delhi at around 4.30 pm.”
The plane remained missing for 20 minutes…
Ranchi Airport Director Vinod Kumar told PTI that the plane lost contact with air traffic control about 20 minutes after takeoff. He said, “Bad weather could be a reason for the crash but the real reason will be known only after investigation.”
In a social media post, former Chief Minister and BJP leader Champai Soren said that he is deeply saddened by the news of the crash. He wrote, “I pray for those killed, including the crew members aboard the plane of Marang Buru (tribal deity), and for courage to their families in this difficult time.”
