In view of this major change in the situation, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has issued a new order on 4 July 2026.
In the order issued on March 9, 2026, the government had implemented several special provisions to deal with the emergency situation. Now these have been removed through a new order. These provisions were mainly included in these.
- Control over production and distribution of gas: At the time of the crisis, the government had made a rule that how much natural gas would be produced in the country and how much of it would be given to which sector, all this would be decided by the government.
- Priority to essential areas: In view of the shortage of gas, first of all arrangements were made to ensure availability of gas for domestic use and priority areas.
- Restrictions on supply and use: Strict rules were imposed for some time regarding the supply, distribution and use of natural gas and LNG, so that no one can misuse it.

The government believes that with the reopening of the sea route, the gas supply system will be easier than before.
