Big news has come for the female Shikshamitras posted in the council school. During a program organized in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has announced to give big relief to women teachers. He said that now married women Shikshamitras will be posted near their maternal or in-laws’ house only. The government has also decided to provide the facility of mutual transfer, so that Shikshamitras can do their job in a better way along with their family responsibilities.
CM said that instructions have been given to the Basic Education Department to open bank accounts of all Shikshamitras so that their honorarium can be transferred directly into the account.
Many Shiksha Mitras were honored
In the ceremony, CM Yogi honored the selected Shikshamitras and also handed over checks of increased honorarium. This step is being considered as a big improvement in the interest of Shikshamitras. In his address, the Chief Minister also targeted the governments before 2017 and said that an attempt was made to make Shikshamitras as assistant teachers against the rules, due to which their services were terminated after the order of the Supreme Court. At that time lakhs of families were affected, but the state government took the decision to continue their services and chose the path of supporting them.
Operation Kayakalp also mentioned
Along with this, while referring to Operation Kayakalp, the CM said that there has been a big improvement in the condition of schools in the state. Basic facilities, where earlier they were limited to 30-36 percent, have now reached 96-99 percent. At the same time, the dropout rate has also reduced from 19 percent to 3 percent, which is a sign of improvement in the education system.
A large number of such women Shikshamitras were included in this, who were not married at the time of recruitment but after a few years, they got married in some other district or area. Due to this, many people left their jobs and some had to travel long distances or come from their in-laws’ home to educate their children.
