A case of mobile phone being found in the possession of a candidate has come to light during the NEET re-exam held at Bindayaka Government School, Jaipur. As soon as the information was received, DCP Prashant Kiran and other police officers reached the examination center and started investigating the matter.
According to preliminary information, the candidate has been identified as Himanshi, a resident of Thadi, Gurjar. It is being told that she reached the examination center about 10 minutes before the scheduled time. When the female inspector became suspicious, she was searched at around 5 pm. During the search, a mobile phone hidden inside the shirt was recovered.
After receiving information about the incident, the family members of the candidate also reached the examination centre. The police is investigating the entire matter thoroughly. At present it is not clear whether the mobile was used during the examination or not. Further action will be taken after investigating the matter.
Let us tell you that the re-exam of NEET-UG, the country’s biggest medical entrance examination, was conducted across the country yesterday, June 21, 2026 (Sunday). According to the official release issued by NTA, 22.05 lakh students were registered for this examination, out of which more than 20 lakh candidates appeared in the examination. A total of 5,440 examination centers were set up in 551 cities across the country. Apart from this, the examination was conducted in pen-and-paper mode at 14 centers abroad. The examination was conducted from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm, in which an additional time of 15 minutes was given this time for the convenience of the students.
