A shocking incident of kidnapping of a minor girl and raping her with the help of a gang has come to light in Mohanlalganj police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Disclosing this sensational case, the police have arrested a total of 5 accused including the main accused, a 70 year old man, two women and their husbands involved in the incident. All the arrested accused have been sent to jail.
The case began on July 24, when the victim’s sister-in-law lodged a missing and abducted report of her 16-year-old sister-in-law at Mohanlalganj police station. The victim’s sister-in-law told that the girl had gone missing from home without informing on July 17. After much investigation, it was found that Durgesh and his wife Khushboo had seduced the girl and taken her to their home. When the family members reached there, the revelations made by the victim while narrating her ordeal shocked even the police department.
Police is investigating the criminal history of the accused
Police investigation revealed that after Durgesh and Khushboo escaped from their clutches, Rabia and her husband Vinod Rawat took them by bike to a hotel in the PGI area. Rabia called her 70-year-old acquaintance Dwarika Raidas in the hotel room. After this, Dwarka Raidas took the girl hostage in the hotel room and raped her for three consecutive days. The remaining four accused were continuously monitoring and helping in this heinous incident.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, DCP South Mo. Many police teams were formed under the leadership of Mushtaq. Police registered a case at Mohanlalganj police station and started investigation. Based on the information, the police team surrounded Puranpur village near Kisan Path and arrested all the five accused. DCP South Mohd. Mushtaq told that this entire incident was carried out as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
Durgesh, his wife Khushboo, Vinod and his wife Rabia together kidnapped the minor, kept him hidden at different places and then handed him over to the main accused Dwarika Raidas. According to police records, the main accused Dwarika Raidas, 70, and accused Durgesh Rawat have a previous criminal history, against whom cases are registered under various sections.
