Police has got a big success in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case. Alleged paper leak mafia Bijendra Gupta, who was absconding for a long time, has been arrested from Bihar. Along with him, another accused has also been detained.
Maharashtra According to the police, Bijendra Gupta was evading arrest for several months. To catch him, continuous raids were being conducted in many states including Bihar. Eventually the police arrested him from Bihar.
Bijendra Gupta’s name has come up in many famous paper leak cases of the country. In the sting operation of Aaj Tak/India Today after the NEET paper leak controversy in the year 2024, he had allegedly made several claims regarding the working of the paper leak syndicate and the weaknesses of the security system of NTA.
According to the investigating agencies, many other accused including Bijendra Gupta’s wife have also been arrested in the Maharashtra TET paper leak case. However, Bijendra himself was continuously dodging the police and absconding.
Now after the arrest of the main accused, Maharashtra Police is hopeful that many important information can come to light regarding the paper leak network, other accused associated with it and the operation of the entire syndicate. The police is interrogating him and further investigating the matter.
