Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is organizing a huge exhibition from 15 to 18 April at Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium in Motihari, Bihar. The event will be inaugurated by MP Radha Mohan Singh, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence. The main objective of this exhibition is to inspire the youth and make them aware of the technologies that strengthen the security capabilities of the country.
The theme of the program has been kept as ‘Confluence of peace, truth and science – towards a safe and self-reliant India’. In this, models of missiles like BrahMos, Prithvi, Akash, Pralaya and Agni will be displayed.
Along with this, the main battle tank Arjun, Pinaka rocket system and many advanced radar systems will be presented to the public. This event will highlight the strong steps taken towards India’s vision of ‘Self-reliant India’.
State-of-the-art missile and artillery systems
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of advanced defense systems developed by DRDO. Prominent among these are Akash-NG (New Generation) launcher, anti-satellite (A-SAT) missile and Nag anti-tank guided missile. Apart from this, models of weapons like Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) and Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) will also be the center of attraction.
Models of Main Battle Tank Arjun (MK-I and II) and Indian Light Tank (ILT), which enhance the army’s strength on the field, will also be displayed here. In the field of technology, the capabilities of Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system, advanced AESA radar and drone detection radar will also be showcased. This will give the youth an opportunity to understand the intricacies of the changes taking place in the defense sector.

Technologies like Rapid Prototyping Model of Kaveri Engine, Automatic Chemical Agent Detection (ACADA) and Holographic Sight have been included in the exhibition. Apart from this, materials like blast protection suit, ballistic helmet and naval steel will also be demonstrated.
