A case of double murder has come to light from Banka, Bihar. Here, unknown miscreants riding a Scorpio opened fire on two youths riding a bike, due to which both of them died on the spot. After committing the incident the attackers fled along with the vehicle.
This case pertains to Ballia village located in Ratanpur Makdumma Panchayat of Amarpur block of the district. This double murder, which took place around 6 pm on Sunday evening, spread panic in the entire area.
The deceased have been identified as Gunjan Singh and Situ Singh, residents of Ballia village. As soon as information about the incident was received, Amarpur police station reached the spot, cordoned off the area and started investigation.
Police collecting evidence
After some time, Superintendent of Police Amitesh Kumar, SDPO Amar Vishwas and FSL (Forensic Science Lab) team also reached the spot and collected evidence. Superintendent of Police Amitesh Kumar said that in the initial investigation it seems to be a case of firing.
A young man absconded from the spot
According to eyewitnesses, the miscreants who came in a Scorpio fired several rounds targeting both the youth, due to which they died on the spot. After the incident the attackers fled at high speed. Villagers told the police that a third youth was also present along with the deceased, who fled from there after the firing. The police is busy searching for him and after interrogating him the reason for the incident can be known.
The police have taken both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem. Based on the evidence found at the spot, investigation is going on on many aspects. The SP said that raids are being conducted to identify and arrest the criminals and the case will be revealed soon.
