There is now a new twist in the viral video case related to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Gurugram Police has arrested two people and registered an FIR. It is alleged that some people conspired together to get such a forensic report made which would be in favor of the Chief Minister. This issue has become very sensitive religiously and politically.

Some time ago a video went viral in which a person resembling Maan was shown. Some objectionable actions were shown in the video along with pictures of Sikh Gurus and Bhindranwale. Sikh organizations reacted sharply to this and Akal Takht termed Mann as anti-Khalsa Panth. Aam Aadmi Party rejected the allegations and claimed that the person seen in the video was not Mann.

Now Jaspreet, a forensic expert from Haryana has alleged that Punjab Some people came to him posing as government officials and asked him to prepare a report which would prove that the video is fake and the person is not a man. He was called to a five star hotel, threatened and forcefully kept Rs 10 lakh in cash in his car. When he refused, he was introduced to Arun Mahendra of Sirsa and Ankit of Jind, to whom the officials handed over the pen drive.

Later, reports were prepared from two private companies, Cipher Sentinel Lab and Cyberyan Labs, whose drafts were shared with the officials on WhatsApp and suggestions for changes were made. Jaspreet has demanded police protection and protection of digital evidence.

Gurugram Police said in its statement on Tuesday that this case has been registered on the basis of preliminary investigation, technical analysis, investigation of digital evidence, investigation of money transactions and other available information.

Citing the FIR lodged in Gurugram, Vading alleged that an attempt was made to obtain a favorable forensic report to prove Akal Takht wrong. He described this matter as very serious and shameful.
