पेपर लीक को लेकर NTA ने जारी किया बयान, कड़ी सुरक्षा के बाद भी गहरा रहा खतरा – NTA says committed to fair credible exams amid Rajasthan SOG probe ngix
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) was conducted on 3 May 2026 for admission to medical and other undergraduate medical courses across the country. After the examination, investigation has started in some states, especially Rajasthan, regarding alleged irregularities and guess papers. NTA said in a statement released on social media platform X on Sunday that many modern security arrangements were made during the examination. Question papers were transported to the examination centers through GPS-tracked vehicles. Special and traceable watermarks were placed on each question paper, so that any discrepancy could be detected.
According to the agency, all the examination centers were monitored with AI based CCTV cameras, which were being monitored from the central control room. Apart from this, biometric verification of all the candidates was done so that fake candidates were shown the way out of the gate and to maintain the fairness of the examination, 5G jammers were also installed at the centres. NTA said that the examination was conducted peacefully and safely as per the plan on May 3 at all the centres.
Inputs regarding alleged irregularities were received on May 7
According to the agency, information about alleged irregularities in the examination was received late in the evening of May 7, four days after the examination. After this, taking action on this information on the morning of 8th May itself, it was sent to the central agencies for necessary action. NTA further said that the recent arrests and actions reported in the media are the result of professional and timely work of the investigating agencies. The agency also said that it is providing all necessary data and technical support related to the examination to the investigating agencies.
No conclusion before completion of investigation
NTA said that the matter is currently under investigation and the agency will not reach any conclusion before the investigation is completed. Whatever findings emerge, whether further action is required or not, will be made public as per the prescribed procedure with complete transparency. Assuring the students and parents, NTA said that the interests of lakhs of students who appeared for the examination honestly will be protected and their hard work will not be allowed to diminish in any way. The agency appealed to the candidates not to pay attention to rumors and give time to the investigating agencies to complete their work.
Rajasthan becomes center of gas paper
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) Additional Director General Vishal Bansal said that the investigation is currently focused on an alleged “guess paper”. He told that there were about 410 questions in this guess paper, out of which about 120 questions are said to be related to the subject of Chemistry. According to Bansal, this guess paper started reaching students 15 days to a month before the examination. At present, the investigating agencies are busy finding out whether any kind of copying, fraud or other criminal activity has taken place through this guess paper. He clarified that no one has been arrested in this case yet.
