There has been a stir in the police department after an allegedly objectionable video related to Orai Kotwali of Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh went viral on social media. In the video, it is being claimed that a woman and a constable are seen in an objectionable position in the computer room of the police station.
After the video went viral, the police department took immediate action and suspended the concerned constable Arvind. Besides, orders for a departmental inquiry into the entire matter have also been issued. Police officials say that after the investigation of the case is completed, further action will be taken as per rules.

Video of computer room went viral
The video going viral on social media is being said to be from the computer room of Orai Kotwali. In the video, it is being claimed that objectionable actions are seen between a woman and a constable sitting on a chair.
Questions are being raised on the functioning of the police department after such a video surfaced from the same computer room which is used for important work like police records and crime related data entry. However, the authenticity of the video and all the facts related to it can be confirmed only after departmental investigation.
The department took action as soon as the video surfaced
After the video came to the notice of higher officials, there was a stir in the police department. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the concerned constable was suspended with immediate effect.
Police officials did not give any statement on this matter in front of the camera. However, the police shared information about the action on its official ‘X’ handle.
According to the police, taking cognizance of the video, constable Arvind has been suspended with immediate effect and the investigation of the entire incident has been handed over to the city jurisdictional officer.
Further action will be taken after the investigation report
Police have said that after the completion of the departmental investigation, action will be taken as per rules based on whatever facts come to light.
At present the investigating officers are investigating the authenticity of the video, the circumstances of the incident and the role of all the parties involved in it.
Police say that it would not be appropriate to reach any final conclusion in the case until the investigation is completed. The department has clarified that further action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report.
