जो जितना चैन से सोया, वही जीता इनाम, इस देश में हुआ स्लीप कॉम्पिटिशन – seoul power nap contest sleep competition viral event korea tstf
A unique event is in the news these days in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, where people took part in a competition just to get gold. In this event named ‘Power Nap Contest’, hundreds of people gathered in a park on the banks of Han River, so that they could take a short nap.
This event was organized by Seoul Metropolitan Government. This is the third year of this competition. To participate, people were asked to come tired, with a full stomach and wearing fun sleep-related clothes.
lack of sleep is a big problem
People in South Korea work a lot and get less sleep. Between studies, job and part-time work, many youth get only 3–4 hours of sleep every day. Park Jun-seok, a student, said that he is able to sleep less at night, so he manages the work by taking short naps during the day.

People came to this competition wearing different costumes. Someone was dressed like a king, while someone was dressed like a koala. 24-year-old Yoo Mi-yeon told that she has trouble sleeping, so she came here to get some rest.

How was the winner chosen?
As soon as the competition started, everyone started sleeping with masks on their eyes. The organizers checked their heart rates to find out who was in the deepest sleep. In this competition, an 80-year-old man was chosen as the winner, while Hwang Du-song came in second place.

what does it mean
This competition is not just fun or entertainment. This shows that in today’s fast life, people are not getting proper sleep. This event reminds people that along with work, rest and good sleep are also equally important.
