क्या है 850 का लॉजिक? जिस सवाल पर सबसे ज्यादा हंगामा, उस पर अमित शाह का गणित – lok sabha women reservation delimitation 850 seats amit shah explains ntcpvp
The special session of the Lok Sabha on Thursday was a stormy one. The opposition clearly said that the government’s intentions are not trustworthy. He is in favor of women’s reservation, but only if delimitation is removed from it. Women’s reservation is an illusion under the guise of which it is being said that delimitation is being implemented through backdoor.
Priyanka Gandhi Said that adding delimitation to women’s reservation is actually stopping women’s reservation. Among all the questions, the biggest question that arose was where did the figure of 850 come from? On what basis is the government talking about 850 seats?
Narrative is being created – Amit Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah said in Parliament that a narrative is being created that the southern states will be affected by the three bills. Lok Sabha Seats will be reduced. He said, ‘Out of the total 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, the southern states have 129 seats. After delimitation it will increase to 195. The seats in Tamil Nadu will increase from 39 to 59. He clearly said that the power of the southern states will not be reduced at all, confusion is being spread in the southern states regarding this bill.
Amit Shah Said that it is also a lie that the government does not want to conduct caste census. The census is done in two parts, first the houses are indicated. Then the residents are asked. Let me also explain where the figure of 850 came from. Suppose there are 100 seats in which 33% reservation is to be given, then if we increase 50 seats in it then the seats become 150. 850 is round off figure

What is the logic of 850 seats?
Amit Shah also explained the logic of increasing the number of MPs in the Lok Sabha to 850. The Home Minister said, “The figure of 850 is made in such a way that hypothetically there are 100 seats. If reservation is to be given to 33% mothers, then we increase it by 50%, then the seats are 150.
The exact number will be 816
When we do 33% of 150, then 100 seats are naturally saved, currently there are 543 members, it will increase by 50%, when 33% of this will be reserved for mothers, then 543 seats out of 543 will remain open where women can also contest. So this 50 percent increase has come in this way. 850 is a rounded up figure. 816 will be the exact number.

‘Karnataka will also not suffer any loss’
The Home Minister said that Karnataka state has 28 MPs out of 543 members of the Lok Sabha. Karnataka’s representation in the Lok Sabha is 5.15 percent. After the passing of the bill and amendment of the Constitution, the number of MPs of Karnataka will increase from 28 to 42. And Karnataka’s representation in the Lok Sabha will be 5.14 percent. In this way Karnataka will not suffer any loss at all.
Referring to Andhra Pradesh, the Home Minister said that Andhra Pradesh has 25 seats, and Andhra Pradesh’s representation in the Lok Sabha is 4.60 percent, after the passing of this bill, Andhra Pradesh’s seats will increase to 38 and Andhra’s share in the Lok Sabha will become 4.65 percent.

Describing the situation of Telangana, Home Minister Amit Shah said that at present Telangana has 17 seats in the House of 543 seats, Telangana’s share in the Lok Sabha is 3.13 percent, after delimitation, Telangana’s Lok Sabha seats will become 26 and its share in the Lok Sabha will be 3.18 percent. The Home Minister also clarified the situation regarding Tamil Nadu.
The DMK government of Tamil Nadu is opposing this change most vocally. The Home Minister said that at present there are 39 MPs from Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha, and the representation of Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha is 7.18 percent, after delimitation the number of MPs from Tamil Nadu will increase to 59 and the share of Tamil Nadu will be 7.23 percent. The Home Minister said that the total number of MPs in the new House will be 816.
Referring to Kerala, the last state of South India, Home Minister Amit Shah said that currently Kerala has 20 seats and its share is 3.68 percent, but after the implementation of delimitation, Kerala’s seats will increase to 30 and its share will be 3.67 percent.

The strength of the southern states will increase
The Home Minister assured that the power of any southern state will not decrease but will increase. This is what I, Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, am saying.
Amit Shah said that currently the participation of southern states in 543 seats is 129 MPs. Whereas the participation of southern states is 23.76 percent. After delimitation, i.e. after 50 percent increase in Lok Sabha seats, the number of MPs from the southern states will become 195 in the House of 816 MPs and the participation will be 23.97 percent.
