This is the story of a city where there were many offices. The people living in this city had forgotten words like revolution, inquilab or revolution. The pages which contained these words were torn from old books. The new Nisab was implemented in schools. The people living in this city had only two goals in life. One was to go to office and the other was to return from office. If you look on the road early in the morning, you will see people wearing clean clothes and carrying bags in their hands, going to office. Fresh in appearance but sad, dejected and tired from inside. There was no excitement in the lives of these people, there was only one wait – wait for the weekend. These people lived just for the weekend. And as soon as the weekend was over, they started going to office again waiting for the weekend. These people did not want to change anything, their only wish was that life should continue as it was. After returning from office, one can go to eat ice cream with wife and children at night. We can buy a car on EMI and have enough courage to think that one day we will also buy a house in this city, give our entire life’s earnings to a builder and buy a house for 90 years. He just wanted to survive because he was told that the city’s ruler was working very hard to make this city a ‘city guru’. The city ruler was a very hardworking man because no one had ever seen him sitting idle. He kept doing something or the other. Every day, news were published about him in the newspapers along with big photographs in which it was told that yesterday, to fight the problem of increasing unemployment in the city, Hakim Saheb performed 35 acrobatic tricks in his room. At first people were confused as to what unemployment has to do with acrobatics, but then they thought that if Hakim Saheb had done it, he must have done it after thinking something. Hakim sahib spoke very well. The employees who wrote his speeches always wrote some positive words in their speeches – like dedication, commitment, effort, loyalty, determination, self-confidence and self-reliance… When people were angry, they used to become patient after listening to the speech. Everything was not right in this city, but everything seemed right. But one day something happened that suddenly there was a murmur about something among the people going to the office.
