The high school and intermediate board examinations of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) are starting today from 18th February. Just before this, the board has adopted a strict stance on the rumors floating on social media regarding paper leak. The board has said that some anti-social elements are trying to mislead students and parents by spreading rumors in a planned manner.

Actually, this year a total of 53,37,778 students are appearing in the examination, for which 8,033 examination centers have been made across the state. High School and Intermediate Board Examinations 2026 of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will be conducted from February 18 to March 12.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council has issued a big statement regarding the rumors of paper leak. The council has said that some anti-social elements are trying to mislead students and parents by spreading rumors in a planned manner. The board has appealed to the students not to pay attention to these rumors and prepare for the examination with full concentration.

The board clarified that the news related to paper leak on social media is completely misleading. The council said that a complaint has been lodged with the cyber cell to take action against those spreading rumours. Officials said that strict security arrangements have been made to maintain the transparency of the examination.

Strict monitoring of examination centers

8,033 examination centers have been set up across the state, which includes government, aided and self-financed schools. Two CCTV cameras, voice recorders and high-speed internet have been provided at all the centres, through which live monitoring will be done through webcasting. Apart from this, 69 divisional and 440 district level mobile squads have been deployed. 18 districts have been declared sensitive, while 222 examination centers have been kept in highly sensitive and 683 sensitive categories.

CM Yogi congratulated the students

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while congratulating the candidates, said that the examination is not only a test of academic ability but also of patience, discipline and self-confidence. He wrote on the social media platform

Helpline number also released

A state level control room has been set up in Lucknow to monitor the examinations. Toll free helpline numbers 18001806607 and 18001806608 have been issued to help students and parents. The board and the government have appealed to the students to stay away from rumors and take the examination with confidence and report any suspicious information immediately.
