A massive fire broke out due to lightning last evening in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, causing chaos in the entire village. The fire that started suddenly took a huge form in no time and many houses got affected by it. The incident took place in Saraiya Chalakapur village of Sadarpur police station area. During the incident here, the situation became so frightening that people were seen running here and there to save their lives. The fire spread rapidly and damaged many houses. Two women died tragically in this accident. The deceased included Phoolmati’s wife Shatrughan, while the other 60-year-old woman has been identified as Phoolmati’s mother. The incident has left the entire village in deep shock and there is an atmosphere of mourning everywhere.
Seven year old girl seriously burnt
In this accident, seven year old girl Mahi Putri Khunkhun got seriously burnt. Immediately after the incident, the villagers sent him to Biswa Community Health Center for treatment, where his treatment is ongoing. There is an atmosphere of worry and restlessness in the village regarding the condition of the girl.
It is being told that due to sudden lightning, a house caught fire, which spread to the nearby houses within a short time. The villagers showed courage and brought many people out safely and were trying to control the fire with great difficulty. However, by then the fire had damaged many houses.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the administration swung into action and the fire brigade team reached the spot. After hard work the fire was controlled and the situation was brought under control.
Government assured help
The police have taken possession of both the bodies and sent them for post-mortem and have started further action. The administration has assured all possible assistance to the affected families.
