New Delhi: Tejashwi Yadavson of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadavwas appointed the party’s national working president, which went down by a margin in last year’s Bihar elections. This appointment comes with visible signs of internal unrest in the party. Hours ahead of the RJD’s national executive meeting in Patna on Sunday, Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya alleged that control of the party had passed to “infiltrators and conspirators”, whose only aim was to destroy “Laluism”.In a post on X, Acharya did not name any person but said those responsible for the party leadership’s decisions should “introspect instead of avoiding questions or creating confusion”.“Today, the real command of the party – known for fighting for the rights of the downtrodden – is in the hands of infiltrators and conspirators sent by the opposition. Their sole aim is to destroy ‘Lalubad’… Such people seem to have largely succeeded in their dirty intentions,” he wrote.Acharya, a doctor by qualification who later chose to become a homemaker and settled in Singapore with her husband, made the remarks hours before the party’s main organizational meeting, adding to the backdrop of an internal debate in the RJD to chart its future course.“They misbehave with those who speak for ‘Laluvad’ and party interests. They are rude with those who care for the betterment of the party. If ‘he’ remains silent, then allegations and allegations of conspiracy against the party and the ‘Laluas’ are automatically proved,” he claimed.Earlier, he raised his voice against the present leadership of RJD.“Anyone who selflessly strives for the party founded by Laluji, who proudly carries forward Laluji’s political legacy and ideals, must question those responsible for the sorry state of the party,” Acharya said. They will raise their voices “against the dubious role of such people regardless of the consequences,” he wrote. After the RJD was defeated in the Bihar assembly elections last year, Prasad’s daughter announced that she was “quitting politics” and severed ties with the family.
