Just before surrendering in Tihar Jail in the Rs 9 crore loan and check bounce case, Rajpal Yadav told that he was facing financial crisis and could not go to anyone for help. Meanwhile, actor Sonu Sood decided to help him. He offered Rajpal a film and also asked to give a small signing amount. While sharing the post on X and Instagram Stories, Sonu Sood wrote, Rajpal Yadav is a very talented actor who has given many memorable and unforgettable works to our film industry. Sometimes life can be unfair, but that doesn’t mean one lacks talent, rather times can be very harsh sometimes. He will be a part of my film and I believe this is the time when all of us producers, directors and associates stand together. The small signing amount that will be given, which can be adjusted according to future work, is not a donation, but it is their respect and dignity. He further said, when one of our own is going through difficult times, the industry should remind him that he is not alone. This way we can show that we are not just an industry, but a family. Not only Sonu Sood, James Toon Music owner Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav has also given financial assistance of Rs 1.11 crore to help Rajpal Yadav. He supported Rajpal Yadav not only as an artist but also as a human being. Besides, he also appealed to the countrymen to come forward and support Rajpal Yadav and his family. Actually, according to the report of Bollywood Hungama, when Rajpal Yadav was asked about his legal case before surrendering, he said, Sir, what should I do? I don’t have money. There is no other solution in sight. When he was also asked why he did not seek help from his friends like Priyadarshan, Rajpal said, Sir, we are all alone here. no mate. I will have to face this crisis myself. What is the whole matter? Actually, this check bounce case is from the year 2010. Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of about Rs 5 crore from private company Murali Projects Private Limited to make his first directorial film Ata Pata Lapata. The film was not successful at the box office and repayment of the loan was delayed. According to the complaint, Rajpal had given some checks to the company to repay the loan, which bounced in the bank. Despite the agreement, full payment was not made and interest kept getting added over time, due to which the total debt increased significantly. In 2018, Karkardooma Court of Delhi convicted Rajpal Yadav and sentenced him to six months in jail. He then appealed to the High Court, where he got relief several times, as he had given assurances of payment and settlement.
