Shock to influencer Carry Minati from the court: Order to remove objectionable video made on Karan Johar from the channel, had used abusive language by mimicking it.




A Mumbai court has ruled in favor of Karan Johar on his petition. Popular influencer and YouTuber Carry Minati aka Ajay Nagar had recently posted a video roasting filmmaker Karan Johar, on which the filmmaker had objected and filed a petition against him. In the hearing held on February 9, the court has given an interim order to delete that video and also to ban such videos. Karan Johar’s petition was heard in a Mumbai court on 9 February. During this, Judge Panduranga Bhosale considered the roast video made on Karan Johar as defamatory and found it worthy of intervention. During the hearing, the judge said, “Prima facie it appears that Ajay Nagar and Deepak Char (manager of Carry Minati channel) have made defamatory statements against the plaintiff (Karan Johar) and have used obscene language. These videos should be removed immediately. A ban should also be imposed against those who spread or re-share them on social media platforms. What is the whole matter Carry Minati is a popular YouTuber, whose YouTube channel has He has 45.3 million subscribers. Recently, he made a spoof video of Karan Johar in his popular chat show titled Koffee with Jalan. Apart from Karan, he made objectionable comments in the video. Wrestler Khali and Salman Khan were also used in objectionable language. After the release of the video, Karan Johar had filed a petition in a Mumbai court. After the court’s order, that video is still available on other channels. While the order clearly says that action can be taken against circulating the video.
