Senior actress Madhu Malhotra passes away: Worked in films like ‘Satte Pe Satta’, ‘Karz’, was also seen in the song ‘Lambi Judai’




Senior actress Madhu Malhotra, who worked in films like Satte Pe Satta, Karz, Hero, died at the age of 72. He died on 13 March in Mumbai. According to trade magazine ‘Film Information’, his last rites were performed on March 14 at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. However, information has not been revealed yet as to what was the reason for his death. Madhu Malhotra started her acting career in 1975 with Ramsay Brothers’ horror film Andhera. After this, in 1979, she played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s character Jai’s sister in Shakti Samant’s film The Great Gambler. She played the role of Pinky in the 1980 film Karz. She was seen with Prem Chopra in the 1981 film Aas Paas. Madhu Malhotra was also seen in the film Satte Pe Satta. Madhu Malhotra also worked in the 1982 film Satte Pe Satta, which was directed by Raj N Sippy. She was seen with Pental in this film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. Madhu Malhotra was seen in the role of a gypsy woman in the popular song “Lambi Judai” in Subhash Ghai’s 1983 film Hero. Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri were in the lead roles in this film. She later played Anil Kapoor’s sister in the 1992 film Heer Ranjha. She played the role of Mrs. Malik in the 1993 film King Uncle. She was also seen in the 1998 film Ghulam. Madhu Malhotra was last seen in Mohan Bhakri’s film Woh Bewafa Thi, released in 2000.
