The Bombay High Court on Wednesday passed an interim order against film producer Santosh Kumar. Under this order, he has been temporarily restrained from repeating the allegations of script theft of the film Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge or from making any defamatory statement against the film’s director Aditya Dhar. Justice Arif S. The doctor’s bench gave this decision during the hearing of the defamation case filed by Aditya Dhar. According to Bar & Bench report, the court said that notice was given to Santosh Kumar, but no one appeared on his behalf. The order said that till the next hearing, Kumar should refrain from repeating such words. This order will be applicable only to Santosh Kumar and will remain effective till April 16, when the case will be heard next. Let us tell you that in a press conference, Santosh Kumar had claimed that the story of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has been stolen from his script ‘D Saheb’ registered in the year 2023. Dhar then sent a legal notice to Kumar, denying the allegations and warning him not to make further such comments. When no reply was received to the notice, Dhar approached the High Court and demanded a ban on the statement and compensation. His lawyer Birendra Saraf told the court that Kumar’s statements were defamatory and damaging to his image. At the same time, during the hearing, the court said that the alleged defamatory comments were shared widely. On the basis of this, the court decided to grant limited interim relief.
