Ram Charan-Upasana announced the names of twin children: Also told the meaning of the names of son and daughter, said- this is not just identity but a wish of love.

Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela became parents to twins, a son and a daughter on January 31. Recently the couple held a naming ceremony at their home in Hyderabad and announced the names of their children. He told that the son has been named Shivram and the daughter has been named Anvira Devi. Speaking to Variety India, Ram Charan explained the meaning behind the names. He said, naming him was a very personal and spiritual decision for us. Upasana and I thought about it a lot, but our parents were also an important part of this journey. In our culture, elders are considered a source of wisdom and blessings, so their presence in this process meant a lot to us. He further said, our son’s name Shivram is a confluence of two eternal ideals Lord Shiva and Lord Rama, which symbolizes strength with restraint and devotion with religion. It also carries forward my father’s birth name ‘Shiv Shankar Var Prasad’, so there is a sense of lineage and gratitude attached to it. Regarding the name of the daughter, he said, Anvira Devi is a symbol of immense courage and divine female power. ‘Veera’ denotes bravery and ‘An’ extends it to infinity. The word ‘Devi’ was deliberately added to remind us that power and compassion can co-exist. For us, these names are not just an identity but also a wish for strength, love and courage. During this time, Upasana also talked about becoming a mother for the second time. Handling twins is magical, she said. It’s only been a week, so I don’t want to say anything yet. But seeing my three children together gives me a different kind of happiness. Ram has been very active, especially with Cara.
