These days, the wave of ‘sequel trend’ is continuously increasing in Bollywood, and in this sequence, famous filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has once again reached out to Sunny Deol with his new project. According to the information, Santoshi has reached Manali in Himachal Pradesh, where he is going to narrate the story and script of ‘Ghatak 2’ to Sunny Deol. Anyway, after the success of ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Border 2’, Sunny Deol has now become a demanding actor in the industry.

The film ‘Ghatak’, released in 1996, was one of those Bollywood action films which further strengthened Sunny Deol’s image. Now after almost 30 years, the discussion about the sequel of the same film is in full swing. Rajkumar Santoshi has prepared a concrete idea for this sequel, which he has decided to narrate to Sunny in person in Manali.

Sunny Deol is currently holidaying in Himachal Pradesh and enjoying the tremendous success of ‘Border 2’. The film has so far earned more than Rs 300 crore at the box office and is getting a lot of appreciation from the audience.

According to sources, the meeting between Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol regarding this project can be held today i.e. on January 31, 2026. During this, Santoshi will present his script in detail to Sunny and get his feedback. If Sunny likes the story, this sequel may be announced soon.

However, Sunny Deol has already made it clear that he will not do the sequel of any old classic just because the previous films were successful. He believes that such a step would be like cheating the audience. So if they see real strength in the script and the story impresses them, only then will they give the green signal to the project.

Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi have previously worked together in many superhit films, such as ‘Ghayal’ (1990), ‘Damini’ (1993) and ‘Ghatak’ (1996). These films were very successful and even today people remember them very well.
