Priyanka Chopra, who has made her mark from Bollywood to Hollywood, has made an interesting revelation about her early career. Priyanka told that she was not very good in studies in school. This was the reason why her mother thought that the world of beauty pageants might be easier for her.
Priyanka recently told during a conversation in the Going Rogue podcast that when she decided to participate in the beauty pageant, her father did not completely agree with the decision. However, his mother was very excited about this decision and it was she who convinced his father.
Mother said- You are not good at studies, try pageant.
Priyanka told that at that time she had just joined the college and her performance in studies was not very good. For this reason, her mother had jokingly said that perhaps her academic career would not progress much, so she should participate in beauty pageants.
According to Priyanka, her mother believed that if she went into the world of pageants, the path ahead would be easier for her. However his father was not happy with this decision. Later her mother took her out for dinner and talked about it at length and then she reluctantly allowed Priyanka to participate in the pageant.
Father’s perspective changed after victory
Priyanka told that initially her father did not like this decision, but when she won the Miss World title in the year 2000, his attitude completely changed.
According to Priyanka, after the victory, her father realized that this achievement could open many new career paths for her. After this he started fully supporting his daughter.
Dilemma on getting film offers
Priyanka also told that after winning the pageant, she started getting offers for Bollywood films. At that time she was confused whether to continue her studies or start working in films.
She said that if she had done films, she would have had to leave her studies. She was very confused about this decision. Then his father gave him an important advice.
Father’s advice changed his thinking
Priyanka told that her father had told her that there should never be any regret like “what if…” in life. He advised Priyanka to try working in films for a year. If she doesn’t like it, she can return to studies again.
According to Priyanka, this advice from her father removed the pressure from her and she could focus on her new career without any fear.
This decision proved to be the turning point of his life. After this, Priyanka gave many hit films in Bollywood and later made her own identity in Hollywood also. Today she is known as a global star.
