PM Modi writes to citizens of four states; Wishing Navratri, New Year, Gudi Parawa

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Greet people early on Thursday Navratri and the traditional Indian New Year, celebrated in various forms across the country.Happy New Year, Navratri, Guri Padwa, UgadiCheti Chand, Navareh and Sajibu Cheiraoba, Prime Minister said these occasions mark the arrival of a new year, which brings renewal, hope and new possibilities.“Greetings to all on the special occasion of Nav Sambatsar. May everyone be blessed with infinite happiness, success and good health,” he said in a message.“I pray that this coming New Year strengthens the spirit of courage, confidence and service in everyone’s life. May it add new momentum to our collective efforts towards nation building,” Modi said.Nava Samvatsar, the Hindu New Year (Vikram Samvat 2083), begins on Thursday with the initiation of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.The Prime Minister also extended greetings for Navratri, a festival dedicated to Goddess Durga.“Heartiest wishes for Navratri to all my family members across the country. May this divine occasion of worshiping the Supreme Power bring happiness, good luck, prosperity and excellent health to all,” he said in Hindi.PM Modi said by the boundless grace of Maa Durga, the embodiment of strength, benevolence for all, infuses new energy into the resolve of a ‘Biksit Bharat’ (Unnat Bharat). “Jai Ambe Jagadambe Ma!” He said “On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, I pray to the Goddess to bless everyone with her love and compassion. Jai Mata Di!” He saidHe also wished the people on the occasion of Gudiparawa.“Warm greetings to all on the vibrant occasion of Gudi Padwa! This beautiful festival marks the arrival of a new year, bringing with it a sense of renewal, hope and new possibilities,” he said.The Prime Minister expressed hope that the coming year will bring happiness, success and good health for everyone.“It can encourage each of us to move forward with determination, to cherish our aspirations and make meaningful contributions,” he said.Modi greeted people on Ugadi, celebrated in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, noting that it symbolizes new energy and beginnings.“Ugadi marks the beginning of a new year and I pray that the year ahead is filled with happiness, success and wonderful health. May this year inspire everyone to pursue their aspirations with sincerity and contribute positively to society,” he said.He wished Cheti Chand on the occasion of Sindhi New Year.“Happy Cheti Chand! Wishing everyone a wonderful year. May the new year usher in much joy, prosperity and success in all your endeavours. Praying that the spirit of hope and positivity prevails everywhere,” he said.
