New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami-led Uttarakhand government on completing four years, praising its efforts in driving development, ensuring good governance and promoting public welfare across the state.Responding to the Prime Minister’s message, Dhami expressed gratitude and reiterated his government’s commitment to development. In a post on X, he said, “Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and best wishes for Uttarakhand’s development, good governance and public welfare.”Dhami added that the state’s progress in the last four years reflects the confidence and collective resolve of its people under Modi’s leadership. “Our government, working on the mantras of public service, transparency and inclusive development, is fulfilling its resolve to build a strong and self-reliant Uttarakhand,” he said.He also emphasized that Uttarakhand will contribute to the vision of ‘Unnat Bharat-2047’, adding that with the Centre’s support, the state will continue to achieve new milestones.According to an official statement, PM Modi in his message highlighted that Uttarakhand has made rapid progress in various fields under the “dynamic leadership” of CM Dhami. He also emphasized on the state’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, describing it as the “land of the gods”, a country known for its faith, traditions and diversity.The Prime Minister noted that Uttarakhand is steadily progressing in line with the vision of a “developed India”. He pointed to key infrastructure initiatives including the Char Dham All-Weather Road project, which aims to make pilgrimages safer and more accessible, and the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line which is expected to significantly boost rail connectivity in the region.Modi praised the government’s focus on improving connectivity in border areas and promoting winter tourism, noting that such efforts have strengthened the local economy and helped curb migration. He lauded initiatives aimed at promoting local products, empowering women, creating employment opportunities for youth, supporting startups and advancing digital and green development.Emphasizing the importance of preparedness, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of strong disaster management systems and sustainable development to ensure long-term progress in the hill state.Expressing confidence in Uttarakhand’s future, Prime Minister Modi said the state’s contribution to building a “better India” would continue to grow stronger during the ongoing “Amrit Kaal”.
