Jammu: A joint team of Army and Rajouri police recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in Nathua Tibba area of Sundarbani sector along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.The searches under Operation Ila came a day after security forces foiled an attempt to infiltrate the area The recovery included an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, along with ammunition, three rucksacks, blankets, rations and clothing, the Army’s White Knight Corps posted at X.The post said heavy blood-stained tracks were seen, indicating serious injuries to the terrorists. “Operations are continuing with heightened vigilance and strong containment in the area,” it added.GOC White Knight Corps Lt Gen PK Mishra on Friday visited the forward areas of Balnoi sector in the border district of Poonch to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational readiness of army units deployed along the border.Later in the day, Lt Gen Mishra, along with the GOC Counter Insurgency Force, visited the forward areas of Sundarbani sector to review the security situation after the foiled infiltration attempt.
